A loan of $2,700 helped to buy sheep and goats.

Gulzat's story

Gulzat is 38 years old. She and her husband, Namazbekom, are raising three children. In 2004, the couple started a business in the meat trade, using 10,000 soms (KGS) as seed capital. Because she was able to develop her business and find regular customers, Gulzat now has average income of 6,000-7,000 soms (KGS). Thanks to the hard work they put into their business, the couple were able to begin construction on a large house for the family.

In order to further improve and expand her business, Gulzat turned to Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan in the amount of 120,000 som (KGS) to buy thirty head of sheep and goats. With income from the loan, Gulzat plans to complete construction on her house and save money for university tuition for her children.
