Ledis Maria's story

Ledis, 41, lives with her husband and three school-aged children, 11 through 17 years old, in the Carrizal neighborhood. Here she offers videogame and PlayStation services, mainly to youngsters and adolescents. Her idea for a business occurred to her when one Christmas her son received a videogame and all the local kids would meet up in her house to play.

Initially she bought two television sets and PlayStation games. Her goal is to expand since her daily customer base is increasing. The problem is she doesn't have enough capital and is requeting a credikiva loan to buy two more TV sets and two PlayStations. She and her husband are intent on increasing their income in order to carry out their dream of having their own house, for which they have applied for a subsidy. They also want to give their children a good, specialized education so they will have the opportunity to be successful. Meanwhile, Ledis continues working hard to maintain her business which has a profitability of at least 35% and a liquidity of 2 to 1.
