A loan of $1,175 helped a member to buy herbs for her son's herbal medicines business.

Asghari's Group's story

Asghari is a 56-year-old widow. Her children are young and do different jobs. She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her eldest son who is involved in an herbal medicine business. He not only sells herbal medicines but also makes medicines for his patients. He has been doing this business for the past nine years and has a good reputation among his patients. With the loan, he will buy herbs to be able to make medicines for his patients.

Two other sons are also herbal medicines experts and one has a shoe-making business. Her other three children stay at home and do not do anything. Asghari remains at home and does her household responsibilities. She is still very active and performs her tasks very well.

She is very confident that her son will be able to do well after the loan investment and her family will be able to enjoy better living conditions.
