Zubaida shares the financial burden with her husband by operating a "Pranday" (an ornament used to tie back the hair) making and selling business. She gets orders from different cosmetics shops in the market and fills their orders to earn profits for her family.
Her husband is a shoe-maker by trade. He makes very good quality shoes for his customers. He receives orders from different shoe stores in the city and fills their demand on time at a profit.
Zubaida is the mother of six children. All of them are enrolled in a local school and getting their education. She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for the further expansion of her husband’s business. He has a large order to fill and Zubaida hopes that the loan will help him purchase shoe making materials in bulk to be able to fill the order.
He is very experienced in his business and has been doing it for the past 20 years. Zubaida is confident about her husband’s improved financial business condition after the investment.
