A loan of $600 helped to buy shoe-making material and material for making "Paranda" (an ornament used to tie back the hair).

Robina's story

Robina is 27 years old and involved in the business of making "Pranday" (an ornament used to tie back the hair). It is a very famous product among women.

Her husband is a cobbler and makes shoes. He sells shoes to different factories and shoe shops. He has a good number of business contacts and receives regular orders every month.

Robina is the mother of two children. Both of them are very young and are not of school-going age yet.

She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for the further growth of her husband’s shoe-making business. With the loan, he will be able to make a larger quantity of shoes due to the availability of shoe-making materials. Robina will also invest some of the loan in her "Pranday"-making business in hope of getting better profits.

Her husband has been operating his business for the past six years and Robina has a lot of confidence in him. She hopes that taking a loan will be a profitable experience for her.

She is a new loan applicant with Asasah.
