A loan of $1,800 helped a member to buy bread, maca root and quinoa.

Corazon De Jesus Group's story

Geraldine is a member of the communal bank "Corazon D. Jesus," which is maD. up of 10 responsible people. Geraldine has lived for many years in the community of Matucana with her small child. She has been working as a domestic for about 5 years, but also she tells us that 2 months ago she started to help a friend selling breakfasts near a bus stop in her area to obtain more income for her household. Geraldine has a great responsibility, since she is a single mother who has had to proviD. for her little one on her own. In the future, Geraldine would like to start up a restaurant where she would proviD. a variety of types of food, and in this way generate more income so that she could improve the quality of life for her child. With the loan requested, she will buy supplies for her business selling breakfasts, such as: bread, maca (an Andean root vegetable), quinoa, oats, and clothing for her child. The communal bank "Corazon D. Jesus" is committed to continuing their good work, and they are grateful for this loan. The members Vilma and Bryan were not able to be present in the picture because they had to work.
