A loan of $550 helped to buy natural fertilizer.

Nery's story

Nery, 42, is a hard working woman married to Eleazar, her husband. They have 7 children and live in a rented house in Unión Leticia. Starting early every morning she starts selling food from a small room she equipped at home for this purpose. At night she sells hamburgers. This occupation is quite profitable and she’s able to help cover household expenses.

But, this isn’t Nery’s only occupation. Since she was a little girl she learned how to work the land and when she grew up and formed her own family she started to acquire farmland where she grows Lima beans, peas and spinach. With the time spent and experience she’s gained she managed to secure a spot in the market and she has leased more land which allows her to plant even greater amounts and thus earn better profits. Now, she wants to buy her own land as well as open a restaurant of her own where she’s sure she’ll earn good profits.

She is a member of the “La Unión Hace la Fuerza” (Unity Makes Strength) communal bank and this is the sixth MFP loan where she is very happy to belong to her communal bank where unity and solidarity reign. She’s hoping for a small financial support to continue with her plans.

If Nery were to receive your support, she’ll invest the requested money in the purchase of natural fertilizers for her Lima bean crops which will be harvested soon.
