A loan of $350 helped to purchase and insure a dairy cow.

Titus's story

Titus is a farmer and a businessman in Eldoret, North Rift, Kenya. His business involves selling vegetables at the local market. He has also been a farmer for the last 10 years, producing milk, potatoes, cabbage and maize.

Titus has made a loan request with Kiva partner Juhudi Kilimo amounting to 31,200 Kenyan shillings to purchase and insure a dairy cow. He sees inaccessibility to reliable artificial insemination services as a challenge to farmers such as himself.

Titus says he hopes to improve his business and rear pedigree cows with the hopes of increasing his income to uplift the living standards of his family
