A loan of $750 helped to buy more clothes.

Maria's story

María, 39, is a kind, hard working woman. She lives in her own house with her husband and three children that she wants to provide a better quality of life for. For María, selling clothes has been an activity that has helped her earn the necessary income to help her household’s economy. She’s been in business for almost four years, a business she carries out among her friends and family members. What she most enjoys about it is being able chat with her customers and considers the most difficult part having to walk from house to house to sell her products but she knows that that’s how this work is and she has to do it. In time, she hopes to have a stand in the wholesale market that’s under construction to sell her clothes and one of her goals is to be able to purchase one of the stands in said market.

This is her 6th loan with MFP and she hopes to continue to work the way she’s been doing since, to date, she’s had no problems with her communal bank and expects to continue that way. She will use the requested 2000 new soles to bring more clothes and to buy catalogue items to have in stock.
