A loan of $675 helped to buy sheep.

Aliou's story

Aliou is 37. He is a married man with five children. He runs a small shop, and he also raises livestock. He worked first in his uncle's shop before getting together with his older brother to start up their own general store.

As for tending livestock, Aliou is experienced since he grew up in an area where livestock raising predominates. Thus he is requesting a loan of 300,000 francs CFA to get ready for Tabaski (a Muslim feast day called "feast of the sacrifice") where sheep are sold in great numbers.
