Ta-Kar-Su Group's story

In the photo are members of the “Ta-Kar-Su” group. They are small-scale entrepreneurs based in Makeni, a city in northern Sierra Leone. They are seeking a loan of 800,000 SLL for each member in the group. With this loan, they will be able to expand their businesses, make more profit, and consequently improve their standard of living.

The leader of this group is Mohamedd. Mohamedd is 45 and was born in Makeni, where he is currently lives with his wife and child. His wife is a businesswoman and his child is attending secondary school. For 23 years now, Mohamedd has been selling used clothes. With his share of this loan, he is going to buy a bale of used clothes to add to his business.
