A loan of $1,100 helped to hire laborers.

Cenaida's story

Cenaida is 24 years old and separated from her husband with whom she had two children. She lives together with her children in her own home which is located in the village of Periavente, in Pichari district.

Cenaida has always enjoyed being first. Her success lies in the good farm management practices that she employs. She also bears in mind the importance of empathy and this is where she makes her presence felt amongst the middlemen she deals with most frequently. This means that she enjoys her farm work, producing and selling coffee. As well as selling her produce at a competitive price, Cenaida has a lot of demand and this makes her good profits. In general she works alongside her dear mother who always supports her. However, during harvest season she has to hire laborers who make her picking easier. Normally she sells her coffee to middlemen in her community.

This is Cenaida's first loan from MFP and she pledges to make her repayments on time. She will use the 3,000 Peruvian soles that she has requested to hire laborers to weed her land.
