Josephine is 25 years old, married and has a 12-year-old daughter. Her husband makes a living as a farmer while she earns an income by running a manicure/pedicure business. She has been in this line of work for the last five years and earns about 5,000 PHP a month. In her free time, she also helps her husband run their farm, where they grow rice. She is applying for a loan to buy manicure materials such as nail polish and tools as well as fertilizer for her farm. She hopes to expand her businesses and have a more stable income in the future.
