A loan of $950 helped to buy supplies for her business.

Maria Guadalupe's story

María Guadalupe is a very hardworking and responsible woman who, like many women in this world, must work alone to provide for herself. She had to seek out a means to generate extra income to pay the household expenses. María Guadalupe became a widow a number of years ago, and she was left with a small daughter to care for and educate. The way that she was able to get income was working to clean other people's houses, and she also had her own business on the weekends offering hamburgers, tacos, tortas and fried chicken for sale. Her business is called "Fried Chicken Lupita." She wants to buy supplies for this business such as bread, ingredients, and soft drinks, so that she can continue to offer her customers quality products and good service.
