A loan of $375 helped to buy embroidery frames and work tables.

Betty's story

Betty is part of a family. She lives with her husband and five children in a house that’s hers. Seeking economic opportunities to generate income, she decided to make artisanal embroidery on traditional, regional clothing. She’s been in this activity for 42 years together with her daughters who help her do this hard work. However, in times of high demand when more hands are needed, she hires other people in order to fill orders from customers and maintain the good reputation she has among them regarding her service. In face of this, she decided to equip her shop with more equipment and supplies.

She is one of the members of the communal bank with the longest history with MFP. She has always enjoyed team work. She will use the money requested to buy embroidery frames and trestle work tables which are the basic tools for this activity.
