A loan of $1,200 helped to buy cleaning products to sell.

Rafael Angel's story

Rafael is a member of the “Bonitas de Platanares” (Beautiful Bananas) community in P. Zeledon, San Jose province. In this zone people practice farming; the inhabitants in their majority are producers of both coffee and cattle.

Rafael is requesting a loan of 600,000 colons to buy cleaning products to sell in his general store, which is named “P.”. He tries to have on hand everything the neighbors need at the moment.

Rafael wants to expand the store so that his micro-enterprise grows daily and he can give his customers the best. His business began as a new source of income to improve the quality of life of his family, and provide a better education for his children. Rafael's goal is to be able to complete all his projects, fulfilling his expectations.

Rafael is a part of the “Empresa de Credito Comunal de las Bonitas” (Beautiful Enterprise of Communal Credit). It is his 1st loan and he tells us that being a member of this enterprise has been an excellent option for obtaining loans, since it is easier, and the processing of paperwork is faster.
