A loan of $825 helped to purchase merchandise (basic staples) and beauty products to stock her business.

Giovana's story

Giovana is 34 and lives with her partner, with whom she has two children. She lives in her own home in the Tambogrande district in the Piura department in the north of Peru. Because she lives in an urban zone, she has basic water and electricity services. Giovana has a store in her home. There she sells various daily use products, such as basic staples and groceries, to her neighbours. She has a fixed and loyal customer base. She also sells beauty products from a catalogue, which she sells in her home and by traveling to various nearby hamlets. Thanks to these businesses, she has been able to support her husband in maintaining their family and getting ahead. Giovana is requesting a loan of 2200 soles from Edpyme Alternativa so that she can purchase merchandise to stock her store and purchase more beauty products so that she will have the necessary merchandise in her home. She thinks that this is an investment that will allow her to continue expanding her business. Giovana is a very diligent and hard-working person. Her greatest wish is to continue growing as a businesswoman and to be able to improve her family's quality of life.
