Yuliana sells betel vine and areca nuts (a kind of plant and fruit that can be chewed both dried and fresh with lime) in the market. Yuliana has been engaged this business for five years since they returned from Irian Jaya – another province in Indonesia. She is interested in running the business as there are many people, particularly those who come from the remote places that still consume betel vine and areca nuts. The betel vine and areca nuts also still become one of the requirements in wedding tradition when the groom proposes the bride.
Yuliana initiated the business using her money. She decided to run the business as she wants to help her husband in generating more income. Moreover, their children are growing up so Yuliana needs more money to cover their living and educational cost as well. Yuliana is a kind-hearted mother; she is willing to work hard for her children’s future. She hopes that they will have better life than she has now. Yuliana would like to expand her business by selling garlic and onion. She is optimistic that these products will be sold out quickly as they are the main ingredients in cooking. Therefore, Yuliana is seeking a loan that can help her in improving her business.
She heard information about TLM that it usually assists the small entrepreneurs who have the passion and willingness to improve their businesses. She is requesting a loan of IDR 10,000,000 from TLM. She plans to purchase garlic and onion in large quantity and to add more betel vine and areca nuts stocks.
