Sophal is 32 years old and works in a factory for $3.5 per day. She is a single mother with one child, who is 11 years old. Sophal lives with her sister and child. Every month, she has to spend $50 on food, $15 on school fees, and $10 on other expenses. She would like to request a loan of $500 to buy some farmland for farming during the rainy season. In the future, she wants to sell cosmetics to her friends at the factory, so that she can earn more income to support her son's studies.
