A loan of $375 helped to buy balanced feed and natural grains for her animals.

Leidy Graciela's story

Leidy, age 20, lives with her husband and child in their own house. They do not have the basic services. They live in the rural zone in the Tambogrande district, Piura department. This zone is known for its agriculture, livestock, and handicrafts.

For some years Leidy has been selling sheep and poultry (chickens and ducks). She raises them in corrals in her backyard. She feeds them balanced feed and natural grains. Once they have grown she sells them to her customers or at different markets in the zone. With the income she is able to cover the household expenses.

She has requested a loan for 1,000 soles from Edpyme Alternativa to buy balanced feed and natural grains. She will use these to fatten the animals and to be able sell them for a better price. With the income she will pay for the loan and improve her family’s standard of living.

With her vitality, work, and determination, Leidy has been able to get ahead with her family little by little. Also she is able to give her son better educational opportunities.
