A loan of $550 helped to buy more fruit to stock her fruit stand.

Cristina's story

Cristina, 61, is a charismatic, hard working woman. She lives in her own house with her husband, Benjamín, 66, and what she most wants is to live a peaceful old age. Through hard work Cristina was able to raise her beloved children who today appreciate the support she gave them. From a very early age she became independent from her parents and started working on her own selling a variety of fruit from the coast, highlands and jungle.

Her stand is located in the city of San Francisco’s main market. She is a charismatic and persuasive vendor which has led to a large clientele who do not question the quality of her fruit and opt to buy most of her merchandise. She mentions that she enjoys chatting with her fellow vendors because that makes her work days more pleasant. She’s been in business 25 years and considers the most complicated part having to remain standing throughout the day awaiting customers.

Cristina thanks all of you for the trust placed in her because, thanks to support from them, she attempts to improve her living conditions. For her future wellbeing she hopes to have the same strength and thanks God for keeping her safe and sound.

This is her 13th loan with MFP and she hopes for a small loan from you to be able to reach her goals. On the other hand, she commits to pay her installments like she’s done in her previous loans. She is a member of her communal bank who is very committed to her fellow members’ development. She will use the requested 1500 new soles to buy more fruit to better stock her sales stand.
