Nancy's story

Nancy, 38, belongs to the “Mujeres en Accion” (Women in Action) communal bank located in Anta District that belongs to Anta Province and Cusco Department.

She has a spouse and four children. She alternates her daily chores with a business selling cheese, yoghurt and manjar (caramel). She makes these products and sells them in the city of Cusco’s Huancaro market. She sells on Saturdays. The rest of the days she spends raising livestock. She is a livestock merchant. She’s able to support her children with these businesses. She wants to expand the dairy products business and enlarge the livestock sales and is asking for a loan to buy two small cows.

She is happy with the loan and commits to repay in a timely fashion.
