Momela Group's story

Justine, who is in his early twenties, is married with one baby girl. For the past five years, he has been running a general store where he sells charcoal, fruits, and vegetables. Justine works from six in the morning through ten at night and is able to make a fair monthly profit. He will share this loan with his loan group “Momela,” which has 15 members who will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans.

Justine is requesting his sixth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He will use this loan to increase his store’s inventory of charcoal, fruit, and vegetables. Justine used his previous loans to start his business and to provide for household and medical expenses. He has successfully repaid all of his previous loans. Justine's dream is to buy land one day.
