The groups “Mujeres Activas” (Active Women) is made up of 15 very organized, united, hard-working and cooperative women who help each other. They are from Villarrica and all are friends and neighbors. They meet every two weeks to offer support and help to each other in their effort to improve their economic situation. They are very enthusiastic about continuing to participate in this program with their businesses.

Lucila has worked as an artisan since she was a child when her mother taught her. Thanks to her art she can earn income that she needs to cover household expenses. She dreams that she will become known throughout the world with her Paraguayan art. She tells us that her efforts are because she wants to offer her family a better future.

She is requesting a loan to buy fabric, paints, thread, needles and all that she needs to create her handicrafts.

El grupo “Mujeres Activas” es un grupo de 15 mujeres que son muy bien organizada, unidas, trabajadoras y solidarias unas con otras. Estas señoras son de la ciudad de Villarrica, y todas son vecinas y amigas. Se reúnen quincenalmente para brindarse apoyo y ayuda las unas a las otras en su esfuerzos a mejorar su situación económica. Estas senoras estan muy animados para seguir participando en este programa, mejorando sus actividades económicas.
La Sra. Lucila es artesana, se dedica a esto desde que era niña, ya que su madre se lo había enseñado. Gracias a su arte ella puede ganar los ingresos que necesita para satisfacer las necesidades del Hogar. Ella sueña con que el arte de Paraguay sea conocido por todo el mundo. Ella comenta que todo su esfuerzo es por brindarle a su familia un mejor futuro.
Ella solicita el crédito para la compra de telas, pinturas, hilos, agujas, y todo lo demás que necesita para la elaboración de sus artesanías.
