Asucenas Sa Group's story

This group is called “Asucenas” and is located in Puebla, Mexico. The group is made up of nine people and this is their first loan request. Teresa is 59 years old and the group’s president. She has a third grade education and has a clothes selling business. Teresa does not have anybody dependent on her for support. She started her clothing business three years ago and sells in various locations. She is asking for this loan in order to buy blouses and skirts, since she gets many requests for different sizes, styles, and colors, and wants to be able to offer her customers a greater variety. She is very happy about the opportunity she gets from the communal bank and she will continue to invest into her business and support her children with their educations so that they can have professional careers. The woman who is not well visible in the photograph is named Julia.
