A loan of $1,125 helped to buy fish.

Juana Catalina's story

Sra. Juana Catalina is 40 years old. Her husband José helps her with managing her business of selling fish. Juana enjoys selling fish because it generates a very good income. She began selling fish four years ago with her mother. Juana plans to hire an employee to help her with selling fish so that she can start a new business selling food, in addition to her business selling bedspreads from a catalogue, which she started 7 months ago, and does in the evening when she is done selling fish. She travels to neighbors' homes to show them the catalogues and as her clients are friends and neighbors, she lets them buy bedspreads on credit, with weekly or biweekly payments--whatever the clients want. She is requesting a loan to buy more fish since she sells a lot of this product. Juana is very pleased with the results of her business. If it were not for the support she received from her husband and Fundación Realidad, she would not have been able to generate the income she earns now. Her dream is to open a restaurant so that her customers can eat in comfort and watch television. In her restaurant, she also wants to have games for children. She thanks Fundación Realidad for the support provided so that she can move forward and fulfill her dreams.
