Angelica's story

She was born in the city of Maputo in the province of the same name in southern Mozambique. She is single and the mother of five children. She doesn’t remember their respective ages, only that all are adults. She finished two years of schooling and stopped because of lack of money when she lost her father. She lives in her own house with her family and maintains her mother who lives with her.

She never left Maputo, she just moved with her mother to Boane when she lost her father and she has lived there since. She has been working as a seller for 15 years and has a monthly salary of 12,000 (meticais) which she uses for household expenses and saves some of in her bank account.

She has never taken out loans with other banks. She heard about Hluvuku through conversations with acquaintances who are also customers of this institution and this is her third loan with Hluvuku in the amount of 25,000 meticais which she plans to use to buy products (oil, rice, peanuts, beer, soft drinks, liquors, and others) to increase the quantity of her merchandise.

She dreams of finishing her building project and expanding her business; to do this she intends to request more loans with Hluvuku.
