A loan of $750 helped to purchase sacks of organic compost.

Julio's story

Julio is 22 years old and lives with Susana, age 19. Their relationship resulted in the birth of their daughter Jassu, who is a year old. Julio is a young man who is enthusiastic about his work. He lives at home with his parents and with great care was able to acquire his own plot of land. Being a young man with multiple needs, Julio strives to work hard in the fields where he plants a variety of tropical crops such as cacao, coffee, and coca leaves. After these crops are harvested, he brings them to the collection centers in the city of San Francisco where he already has different buyers. What he enjoys most about his job is sowing the land and making it fertile and productive. Julio has been farming for three years and considers the most difficult part to be combating the swarms of insects that seize his crops. He tries to exterminate them naturally by setting traps and nets so as not to harm the environment.

With the loan he requested, Julio will buy sacks of compost to fertilize his land and generate fruitful returns. Going forward, he hopes to save some money so that he can purchase more land. This is his second loan with MFP. Julio is grateful to the funders who supported him so that he can make progress in his work. He hopes to receive the same level of support again and promises to work with the other members of the Communal Bank as a team. This loan of 2000 PEN will be invested in the purchase of sacks of organic compost so that he can fertilize his fields.
