A loan of $1,100 helped to buy larger amounts of barnyard fowl of all species.

Antonia's story

Antonia, 51, is a widow. She lives alone in her own house which only has running water and is located in Mórrope District that belongs to Lambayeque Department. The zone is noted for farming, livestock raising and crafts making.

Antonia has been raising barnyard fowl (turkeys) to sell for the last ten years. Her corral is in her back yard; it’s spacious. She feeds them nutritionally balanced feed and natural rains so that they will reach optimum size and weight and can be sold at the various local markets and obtain higher profits to cover her personal expenses.

She wants to expand the business buying more barnyard fowl so has asked Edpyme Alternativa for a 3000 new sol loan to be able to meet customer demand and be able to use income from her sales to repay the loan and get ahead. Antonia is a woman who despite the difficulties she’s gone through in life has known how to overcome them and improve in life.
