A loan of $375 helped to buy fabric and to service his sewing machine.

Cruz Santos's story

41-year old Cruz lives in his own home which has water and electricity. It is located in Chepén district, a part of the department of La Libertad. The area is known for its agriculture and cattle.

Cruz’s job is making and selling clothing. He’s been doing this for several years. He works from home and has regular customers but takes orders as well. There’s not a lot of competition in this line of work. With the money he earns, he can pay for personal necessities.

Cruz has asked Edpyme Alternativa through the program Capital Semilla (‘Seed Money’) for a loan of 1000 soles to buy fabric and also to service his sewing machine. In this way he can continue serving his customers well and complete the orders they have given him. In turn, these will provide him with more income so that he can improve his standard of living. He knows that with a lot of effort and hard work he can advance his business and do well in life.
