Cumbre De Las Americas Group's story

This community bank is entering its second loan cycle with 11 members. The bank's members all live in 'km 14 urb. Cumbre de las Américas' sector, hence the group name. They all have their own business activities.

The group's president is 28 year-old Yanina who is from the town of La Guardia. Her business activity is selling food and she has been in this business for four years. She sells a variety of dishes and is very well known by her customers as she makes delicious meals. She will use her loan money to buy groceries such as noodles, rice and oil, and supplies for making her meals. Yanina is married to Saturnino who is a construction worker. They have one school-age son in their care. Both Yanina and her husband work for the well-being of their family.

Yanina is a cheerful and dynamic woman. Owing to her responsibility and the support she shows to her fellow bank members, she was elected president of her community bank.

The members of this bank are very grateful to our institution for having placed our trust in them and provided them with the support they need to grow in their businesses and activities.
