A loan of $875 helped to buy merchandise for her general store.

Maria Fidelina's story

Maria Fidelina, 33, is single. She has three years of high school, but had to drop out because there wasn't enough money for her to continue.

This is her second Fundacion Realidad loan and she will use it to buy merchandise for her general store: eggs, flour, cooking oil, beans, soap, cleaning supplies, snacks, etc.

Maria Fidelina's motive for starting the business was her family. She wanted to help support them and she knew that she had to work at something that would provide her a good return. She says that she's pleased with the business because the loans have helped her stock her store with the products that her customers most want to buy.

She wants to continue operating the business so that the income from it can help to support her family.
