A loan of $2,400 helped a member to buy pasta, rice, sugar, etc.

Corazon De Jesus Group's story

The “CORAZON DE JESUS” community bank will begin its second cycle in Pro Mujer, as part of the Los Andes center. It is made up of nine members and led by a board of directors headed by Rosario. The businesses that the association's members have are varied. Among them, we have: selling humitas, selling appliances, pastries, selling vegetables, burning CD's and DVD's, hairstyling and hair cutting, selling clothes, and a store.

Rosario indicates that this is the first time that she has worked with Pro Mujer and she joined via invitation. At present, she has a small store, which she learned about from a friend.

The loan that she is taking out now is to make purchases and increase her capital. She will buy pasta, sugar, rice, etc. She will make her purchases wholesale on Garita de Lima street and later she will sell them on the same street. This work will allow her to generate income to support her family. She is single and has two children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she answers that she likes the credit and health trainings.

In this group: Rocio Ingrid, Sabino Rolando , Jhenny Mabel , Roxana, Rosario, Fanny, Esperanza
