Mujeres Victoriosas Group's story

The “Mujeres Victoriosas” (Victorious Women) Group is a committee of 10 women who are well organized, united, hard workers with much solidarity, one with the other. These women are from the city of Villarica. They meet monthly to offer aid and support to one another in their efforts to improve their economic situation.

Miguelina is an artisan. She has done this work since she was a small child, when her mother transmitted her own knowledge concerning this profession. Due to her dedicated work, she has been able to get ahead and offer a decorous and dignified life to her family. Miguelina comments that all her sacrifice amounts to little compared with gaining what she wishes. She dreams of one day being able to have a shop where she can display her artisan crafts.

Miguelina request a loan to buy cloth, thread, stretchers, needles and other items for elaborating her artisan crafts.
