A loan of $1,525 helped a member to buy animals for resale.

Bashiraan's Group's story

Bashiraan has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for improving her business of selling animals. She sells buffalo, cows, and goats. With the loan, she will purchase young animals and will sell them to butchers and to other people after raising them.

She is very experienced and has been doing her business for the past 20 years. She is confident that an investment will bring positive changes to her business and she will be able to expand it successfully.

Her husband is also an animal seller by profession. Both Bashiraan and her husband also get milk from their cattle to earn an additional income.

Bashiraan has two sons: the eldest one is in college while youngest one is not yet reading.

Bashiraan is confident that after the loan investment, her family business will grow further and her family will be able to enjoy better living facilities as a result.

In the photo, the lady with a book (called an Asasah Passbook) is Bashiraan.
