A loan of $375 helped to purchase a large quantity of merchandise for stocking her business.

Isabel Adelita's story

Isabel, 46, is married and lives in her home with her husband and children, where they have electric service and water, located in the district of Pacanga belonging to the department of La Libertad. This region is characterized by the crop and livestock farming of its inhabitants.

Isabel earns a living selling clothing, accessories and ladies' shoes, a business which she set up in her home some years ago. However she also leaves merchandise in other hamlets and collects at the end of each month, in an effort to have greater customer demand and thus be able to obtain more earnings for covering household expenses.

Having observed that her business is more prosperous day by day, Isabel believed it necessary to seek a loan from Edpyme Alternative for 1,000 Peruvian soles, in order to purchase a large quantity of merchandise and stock her shop with innovative products. Her goal is that her clientele would keep growing so that she may pay off her loan and improve the quality of life of her family, and especially of her children.
