A loan of $1,100 helped to buy cacao and coffee seed.

Odilia's story

Odilia is 48 years old and a native of Pampahuasi in the San Miguel district. She lives in a house of her own along with her husband, 50 year old Mauro, and her three lovely children for whom she wants to provide a good education. Odilia is a hard working person and puts forth a daily effort to prosper.

She is a farmer who raises cacao, coffee, and timber trees. She’s been doing this with great enthusiasm and dedication since she was 23 years old. Thanks to the fruits of her labor, she was able to acquire more farmland. She also bought a lot where her family currently lives.

During harvest time and weeding time she needs to hire field hands to be able to stay on schedule. She has one hectare of land for which she needs financial support to complete her planned activities. She wants to replant with more cacao and coffee, and this is why she appreciates MFP, because they help people of modest means to progress. For the good of her work she hopes to have the same spirit and fortitude that she has used to get her children ahead.

This will be her second loan by which she hopes to solidify her plans and she is committed to repaying on schedule because she hopes to be able to get other loans in the future. She will use the 3,000 PEN to buy cacao and coffee seed.
