A loan of $750 helped to stock her store.

Nicida's story

Nicida is 21 years old and a native of Pampahuasi, a settlement in the San M. district. She lives with 25 year old Edmundo and they have two children for whom they work hard to provide with the best. Nicida is a young mother and struggles to get ahead in her work. She is a merchant and has a grocery store in the community.

Nicida’s store is well frequented by her customers because she serves them with great friendliness. She opens her doors very early in the morning and is ready to receive her first customers. They know of the variety of merchandise she sells, so they have no problem buying from her, because they know that she will have the items they need. What she enjoys most is talking with her clients. This is one of the skills she employs to gain more customers.

She’s been doing this for four years and she considers the most challenging part to be having to be on her feet almost all day. She will use the money from this loan to buy foodstuff to stock her store. She would like to expand her sales by expanding her point of sale.

This will be her second loan and she is very happy to know that she can once again count on the support of all of you, because it will be very helpful to her. She also feels very happy to be working with the members of the communal bank. She will use the money from this 2,000 PEN loan to buy sacks of rice, sugar, milk, and preserves.
