A loan of $675 helped to purchase hair dyes, gels, shampoo, and other beauty products.

Miriam Natalia's story

Srta. Miriam is a member of the Communal Bank “Mujeres de Combate” (Women in Combat). She lives in the parish of Tarqui, where the weather is cold. The people are livestock breeders who raise animals and grow crops. Many of the residents leave the city to engage in various business activities and then return to their homes at night.

Srta. Miriam is 19 years old, single, and lives with her parents. Her father is a farmer and her mother works at a store. They own the house in which they live.

Miriam is a professional stylist. She studied at an academy and has been working in her profession for two years. Miriam has her own business, a beauty salon, where she works Monday through Saturday from 8am to 7pm.

This is her third loan from the Communal Bank. Her new loan will be invested in the purchase of products such as hair dyes, gels, shampoo, and other beauty products for her business. Miriam’s goal is to open another branch or to further expand her business
