A loan of $375 helped to purchase colognes, body crème, lipsticks, nail polish, eyeliner, eye shadows, foot powder, bath soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

Ana's story

Sra. Ana is a member of the Communal Bank “Sol Naciente” (Rising Sun) which is in the District of Calleria, Department of Ucayali. She is 30 years old, married, and has four young children. Her first loan opened the doors to financial independence.

Ana has been with the Communal Bank for one year. She sells beauty products through catalogs. This business allows her to generate additional income to help with the family finances.

With her new loan of 1000 PEN, Ana will buy two after-bath colognes, one body crème, two lipsticks, one nail polish, one eyeliner, one quartet of eye shadows, one foot powder, one bath soap, one shampoo, and one conditioner.

Having small children does not prevent her from working. Her older children help look after the baby while she is busy around the house or selling her products. Her husband is employed by a local company.

Manuela Ramos contributes to the progress of families who take advantage of the opportunity.
