A loan of $300 helped to buy supplies for making 'chicha' (a native Peruvian drink made from maize and Jora corn).

Maria Del Rosario's story

María is 35 years old and lives in her own home, in a small village called Narihuala, which is located in one of the rural areas of Catacaos district.

María sells Jora flour. Her business is located in her home and she has been working in it for ten years. Thanks to the length of time she has been in business and the quality of her product, she has an established customer base in her area.

María is requesting a loan for 800 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa so that she can engage in another business activity: making and selling 'chicha' (a native Peruvian drink made from maize and Jora corn). In this way, she will expand her business and make better income.

María would like to improve her quality of life through effort and hard work. She has good references. People who know her describe her as a calm and responsible person.
