A loan of $375 helped to buy potato seeds and several sacks of fertilizer.

Francisco's story

Francisco is 56 years old; he is an exemplary father. He always has a smile on his face that encourages him to get ahead with his three children who he cares for with much love since his wife abandoned them. He continues with his life with much optimism in his own house located in Palca.

For the last 13 years he’s been a farmer. He and his wife formed a family and this activity was their only source of support. This is why he feels that due to her abandonment he will not have the same support as he did in the past. But, his children’s words comfort him because, even though they are small, they provide him with the encouragement to continue with his potato and pea crops. This is how Francisco heads out every morning to care for his plants fertilizing, weeding and pruning them constantly. At this moment in his life he thanks the communal bank for the support it’s given him because it provides the economic wherewithal to continue with his plans to progress since his future plan is to buy fields of his own to get higher profits from his crops, to dedicate himself to improve the land for his crops and to sell his food at better prices at the city of Tarma’s wholesale market.

He belongs to the “Santo Domingo” communal bank and this is his first loan with MFP where he hopes for a small loan to continue towards his objectives. Because of this, he commits to repaying punctually.

If Francisco were to get support from you he will invest the requested money in the purchase of potato seeds of the “única” type as well as several sacks of natural fertilizer to successfully launch his next planting cycle.
