Eleuteria's story

Eleuteria is a member of the “Niño Jesús D. Praga” (Infant Jesus of Prague) communal bank located in Yunguyo District and Province, Puno Department. She’s 59 years old, married and has four children, all independent. She did not complete elementary school.

She is a vegetable merchant. She has a small stand in a local market. She has worked with the Manuela Ramos Movement for the last 10 years. Her initial loan was for 300 new soles that she invested in her business. She will use this new, 3000 new sol, loan to increase her business’ capital buying two sacks of onions, carrots, cauliflower, pumpkin, lettuce, etc. Her husband, who works as a teacher, helps her with the business.

Her dream is to stay in business and improve her income. What she likes about the communal bank is the ease of the loan.
