Dora's story

Dora is a cheerful, kind woman. She’s 51 years old, married to León, 55, and has ten children but only Silvia, Leo and Analí still live with her. They all live together in peace in their own house located in the hamlet of Palca.

Life for her has not been easy but she continues to struggle to get ahead. Now recovered from an illness that kept her bedridden for several months
Dora comments that she very much enjoys feeding her animals, especially the cows she raises to make delicious cheese. She also comments that with the production of 20 liters of milk she earns a 300 new sol profit. In addition, she has been farming potatoes and various other vegetables that are in high demand in the market for the last 34 years with help from her children. She earns good profits from this activity too that allow her to provide her family with an adequate quality of life free of worries.

Her husband, who works as driver providing public transportation services, earns extra money for the home. With the years of experience she’s had she’d like to plant foliage in larger amounts seeking quality. Because of this, once the carrot harvest is in she will start planting coriander.

She belongs to the “Santo Domingo” communal bank and this is the 7th loan with MFP where she hopes for support from all of you to meet her goals. Besides, she commits to make her installment payments punctually.
