A loan of $925 helped to buy new, modern cell phone accessories.

Eduardo José's story

Eduardo is a man of 29 who lives with his wife and two year old son. He has a business in the Jardín neighborhood of the city of Barranquilla, where he distributes accessories for mobile phones. He's been in this business for a year; after getting experience in finance and commerce, he began his adventure and got involved in importing accessories for phones. He currently distributes these to wholesalers in the city. Initially, he started by benefiting from the experience of a friend and let himself be guided. At the beginning, his orders were low-value, but bit by bit he has been increasing his profits.

He is a hardworking young man and is committed to growing personally and professionally. He also manages the cafeteria of an important private school in the city. In his search for new options in the market, he needs to increase his working capital and this is why he has approached Kiva. This is his first financing through the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation, with which he will buy new modern cell phone accessories, as orders have increased and he would like to respond to his customers and offer them appropriate items.

Although his biggest challenge is the competition, the prices that Eduardo offers and his excellent service allow him to be competitive. While building his dream of higher profits, he strives to work with a margin of not less than 50%, turning over his inventory every 25 days.
