A loan of $4,150 helped a member to buy cosmetics to sell.

Santa Marta Group's story

The Santa Marta Women's Committee was formed in 2008 thanks to one of its members who contacted a loan officer who was working with a group in the same area. She found out about the Entrepreneurial Women's Committee Program and, once she had been advised about the program, she managed to get together 15 women who are working very happily on their eighth loan cycle. They are working jointly and in a supportive manner within the program.

This is an excellent group who, through their joint work, are continuing to work within the program.

Maria sells cosmetics. She has a good number of customers who are always placing orders with her. She is very happy with her work as she loves selling beauty products. Her work makes her good income with which she is able to cover her expenses.

Maria is requesting this loan to buy more cosmetics which will enable her to attract more customers.
