A loan of $750 helped to buy a motorcycle taxi.

Maria Josefina's story

Josefina is a 41 year-old woman. She is a single mother and lives with her two children in Lambayeque district. She lives in a small community of entrepreneurial and hard-working people.

Josefina has been selling fresh fish for five years. She makes her sales in an itinerant manner (using a motorcycle taxi) or from a small stall located in her own home. Josefina has an established customer base who feel happy with her products and the service she provides.

Josefina has a great desire to do well and she would like to invest in a second business. For this reason, she is requesting a loan for 2,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa to buy a used motorcycle taxi which would allow her to start out in a new business, providing a public transport service. She would also use it for transporting her merchandise.

Josefina is a hard-working woman who is already known to our institution. She has a good payment record. This loan would allow her to continue gradually improving her children's quality of life.
