Nanuli's story

Nanuli comes from the village of Shroma, West Georgia. She is 53 years old and lives with her husband Mamia and her 30 year-old daughter. Nanuli runs the agricultural business of the family. The family has four milk cows. Nanuli produces and sells on average 70 kg cheese per month. She sells cheese at a local open market. Also the family owns 500 nut trees. Harvested nuts are sold locally as well. With the requested loan, Nanuli plans to diversify her business. In particular, she plans to purchase five bee-hives with bee-colonies. She will get approximately 40 liters of honey per year. Sale of honey will increase the family’s income. In the future Nanuli plans to reinvest the profit from bee-keeping and increase the number of bee-hives.
