A loan of $750 helped to pay the rent on farmland for cultivation.

Janeth's story

After 12 years of being in the area where she currently lives, Janeth has established her family. She is 31 years old and the mother of two children. They live in a rented house. She decided to become a vegetable merchant at the local market and also rent farmland for growing garlic or any other product that she could sell at the market for a good price. This is how Janeth earns her living. She sells every day, beginning in the early hours, so that she can generate a daily income. In the meantime, she waits for the harvest season so that she can obtain additional capital to help cover the needs of her family. Janeth must always hire help in order to complete the harvest. Seeing that her businesses are profitable, Janeth tries whenever possible to increase her inventory of vegetables as well as elevate the amount she plants so that she will achieve a larger harvest.

This is the fourth time she has worked as part of a group with MFP. Janeth is very pleased to be part of solidarity group since working with a small number of people has allowed her to become close with the other members. The money she requested will be invested in the rental payments of additional tracts of farmland. She finds that it is more convenient for her to rent.
