Trancito Zoraida's story

Transito Zoraida is 46 years old, married and living with her husband and children in Ventanas Canton, Los Ríos Province.

The members of the “Nuevo Amanecer” (New Dawn) communal bank are located in the hamlet of San Luis de Zapotal that belongs to Ventanas Canton. It has 12 members who for the most part work farming corn and rice, a very ancient activity.

Transito Zoraida is a corn and rice farmer. She buys her products at the Pronaca supply center and sells them at the Ventanas wholesale market.

She asks for the loan to plant corn and rice, to buy supplies and fertilizer. Support from the loan will help her economically to meet her needs. She faces challenges like illnesses of her laborers and the lack of money to reinvest. Her dream is to have money to continue investing in farming.

She likes to work and to play sports.
